I have recently withdrawn my endorsement for an Elsmere City Council candidate. This was not a decision I made lightly.

Over the course of the campaign, differences emerged in our views on how a city leader should conduct themselves in public, and in our commitment to the heart of this race:

Restoring accountability and transparency.

I hold myself, and anyone I ask you to vote for, to the standard Elsmere residents deserve. I was no longer confident that standard was being met.

I have nothing but goodwill toward my fellow candidate and wish them well. When I ask you to trust a candidate, that is you also putting your trust in me. That trust has to be earned.

Eric Bunzow, Andrew Myatt, and I remain fully committed to the work ahead:

Ending the decisions that have cost this city money and public confidence, and giving Elsmere the open, responsive government it deserves.

Let’s continue moving forward together.
